The purpose of this task is to obtain a detailed understanding of the scope and requirements for Change Management. This would typically include the KPIs and SLAs to be monitored along with the risks, existing policies, procedures, work instructions, measurement objectives, etc.

Main Description
It is necessary to have a clear understanding of the overall requirements and the scope of the Change Management process
for successful execution of changes. For this, the Change Manager along with Engagement Manager must review all the
contractual documents and the Service Governance Plan(SGP) to understand the Client expectations and Capgemini’s
commitments with respect to Change Management. The Change Manager must review the SLA’s or KPI’s agreed with the Client
with respect to Change Management process. The Change Manager must also understand and document the risks and assumptions
with respect to Change Management process.
The Change Manager must gather all the available information regarding Change Management. This would include existing
policies, processes, procedures, work instructions, workload information and report etc. These can be reused as needed
while planning the Change Management for current Service Engagement.
